Photos from the Hurley Pro 2016 surf contest at Trestles. Lowers is perhaps the best wave for surf competition in the continental U.S., about the only thing that’s missing are some shallow deep barrels.
Final round of the 2016 Hurley Pro at Trestles. Flowmaster Joel Parkinson was up against it big time when he drew Jordy Smith in this round. Jordy was pulling off moves that should have been reserved for the little guys on the tour, and he had already mowed down U.S. Open winner Filipe Toledo, by realizing that nobody beats Filipe in the air game, so it would have to be done with smooth power moves, which is just what he did.
