Pro Surfer Mark Foo, on Life, Death, and Surfing

In this interview, Mark Foo discusses his philosophy of life as a former pro surfer who later went on to become a big-wave rider at Waimea Bay. There are some great shots of his wave riding interspersed throughout the clip. Mark died in 1994, during a surf session at Mavericks.

  1. Oh boy. I am very new to this site. Very new to RSS feeds and blogs in general. I got to this site doing research for a television piece that includes big wave surfing. I found the “Mark Foo, On Life, Death and Surfing” interview on this Surfing Video Blog site. I cannot seem to make it or any of these videos play. Don’t know how to access them or download them or simply look at them. I also apologize if where I am leaving this comment is not the appropriate forum. It is simply lack of experience and nothing else.

By the way, I use a Mac and Snow Leopard OS X 10.6.4 On the Surfer Video Blog site I registered as a member with a username and a password., I also signed up for an RSS feed through my browser, FireFox. Now every time I access the feed it begins to open window after window of articles, in rapid succession, until my screen is overwhelmed and I have to close my browser to avoid an inevitable crash. (I mean I had 200 windows open before I managed to quit.)

My email is [email protected]. Can anyone advise me on how to handle RSS feeds and especially on what I have to do to view the Videos on this blog. Sure would appreciate it.

  2. sorry about the rss feed issue, not sure what the problem is there, but the videos are hosted by a company called revver, which has apparently gone belly-up, leaving all of us stranded without content.
